- Inspect Subfloor: Check for moisture, rot, and unevenness.
- Concrete: Ensure it’s dry and level.
- Wood: Secure loose boards to prevent creaking.
- Clean Surface: Sweep and vacuum thoroughly. Sand high spots on the subfloor.
- Underlayment & Doors:
Install vapor barriers/underlayment. Trim door jambs or doors if necessary.
